<p>Fruits and vegetables are really good for you. But, if you cook them to long, all of the vitamins and minerals end up going down the drain with the liquid. You will get a lot more of the nutritional benefits from them if you just lightly saute or steam them.</p>
<p>While fat can add a lot of flavor to foods it&#8217;s really bad for your heart. You can remove a lot of fat from your diet by simply draining your foods. Although it might not seem like a lot, animal fats are very high in saturated fats which are the worst kind for your health.</p>
<p>If you use a lot of sugar or salt in certain foods, reduce it gradually. If you stop using it all of a sudden, you probably won&#8217;t even like your favorite foods. But, if you reduce it gradually, you&#8217;ll have more time to adjust to the taste and eventually won&#8217;t even miss the salt and sugar.</p>
